SMASH

A percussion ensemble born out of a metal scrap yard and random other pieces of junk. Call it an "up-cycled" music group. Call it a percussive representation of the diversity of Vancouver, British Columbia. This beast is slowly evolving into a diverse group of musicians as well as instruments.

SMASH incorporates into its performances instruments as conventional as Bongos, Djembes, Bass drums, Shakers....and as unconventional as car tail pipes, wine buckets, hoses, and hubcaps.

Core members of SMASH are Michael Simpsonelli, Sacha Levin, Paul Bray and Robin Layne - all accomplished percussionists in their own right, coming together to form one fantastic noise.
